Description: Modern Peshawars are hand knotted rugs from the northwest Pakastani and southeast Afghani regions. Woven like traditional Peshawar’s, they are low piled and use neutral colors. However the difference between traditional and modern peshawars is in the design. The modern Peshawars use a more geometric styling compared to the floral and curvilinear style of the traditional Peshawar. These pieces are woven with New Zealand wool making the rugs very soft to touch.
