Description: A Persian Mahi area rug is known for its distinctive repeating “fish” pattern, called the Herati design, which features delicate diamond shapes surrounded by curling leaves and floral details. These hand-knotted rugs are commonly woven in regions such as Tabriz and are admired for their balance of elegance, durability, and fine craftsmanship. Mahi rugs often use deep navy, rust, ivory, and earthy tones that complement both traditional and modern interiors. Their dense weave and timeless geometric pattern make them highly valued for everyday use as well as decorative display.
